This exciting tour is one of two day-long tours conducted the day after the Summit. It will be a memorable experience for you.

At 6:30 AM., you will be taken from the designated hotels in Petion-Ville to the domestic airport and, at 7:30, will board a flight to Cap-Haitien.
At 8:00 a.m. you will arrive at Cap-Haitian airport and you will board 4x4 vehicles for the excursion to the "Palais de Sans Souci" and "La Citadelle La Ferrière"; (Search for them on Google and read up on their history.)

You will visit the ruins of the Sans-Souci Palace, which was the private residence of King Henry Christophe and his family. The architecture was inspired by the palace of Prussia's Frederic II.

Partly by 4x4 vehicle and partly on horseback, you will continue to La Citadelle La Ferrière, a majestic fortress located atop the 3,000-foot Mount Bonnêt-à-l'Evêque, which has been referred to as the Forgotten Eighth Wonder of the World. On a clear day, one can see for 50 kilometers, from Cap-Haitien to the border of the Dominican Republic. At this site is one of the world's largest collections of 17th and 18th century artillery. The Citadelle was restored through the joint efforts of the OAS, the Haitian government, and UNESCO.

Around noon, you will return to Cap-Haitian for lunch.

At 2:00 p.m., you'll enjoy a mini-tour of Cap-Haitian, the capital of all the French colonies until 1803. The city has kept its colonial atmosphere with its unique architecture.

At 3:00 p.m., you will return to the airport, fly to Port-au-Prince, and be taken to the designated hotels to finish the day.
